What are Shinshinim?

Over the last 15 years, 200 young and spirited Israelis – the cream of the crop of high school graduates – have been hand-picked to dedicate a year of “global community service” after high school to bridge the gap between Israel and the Toronto Diaspora. Embedded into our homes, day schools, synagogues, and summer camps, these emissaries have transformed our community’s relationship with Israel.

Interested to host our Shinshinim next year?

Now is the time we start planning for our host families for next year’s Shinshinim.
Wondering what it’s like to host a Shinshin in your home? Have any questions?

As previous host families will tell you, this is a really special way for you and your family to connect to Israel by caring for and learning from a young Israeli. The bonds created with these exceptional kids continue to impact the lives of the families who take them into their homes for years to come.

We encourage you to get in touch with our lay leaders, Marci and Ilan Braude ibraude2@gmail.comto find out more.
